Date Night!

These two......

Plus this one, went over to Mema and Papa's house

Then I  put this pretty bracelet on

And these cute earrings

And these adorable shoes (that I got for $3.99 at Salvation army, they are Kenneth Cole!)
Yes, my right big toe polish is chipped.  Such is life! :)

And took a picture with Big daddy! On our very grainy 1.6 megapixel webcam.  And you know what? I like it, smooths ALL the wrinkles and imperfections out.  That dang D90 shows EVERYTHING.  Good when your a toddler, child or teenager, not good when your 37!

And off we went to see Eat Pray Love.  Which was very good.    In some ways I could identify with Liz.    I have been married before.  And trust me, it wasn't pretty.   So it was hard to ever think you will "love" again.  And when your NOT looking for it, you find it.   To make a long story short, John and I met about 12 weeks after I broke up with my ex.  I did not, I repeat DID NOT want to date anyone at that time.    But he was sooooo nice.  I let my guard down and went out with him.  Much against my mother's urging NOT too.  That is,  until she met him.  She fell in love as well.   We dated about 8 months before getting engaged and were married 14 months after our first date.  In August we celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary.   If I didn't let myself fall in love again, I'm not sure where I would be.

I am blessed with a man who loves me, makes me laugh, loves his children and is a wonderful devoted father.   He is loyal and is a caring, warm and emotional guy.   Even though he's tough as nails on the outside, he's my teddy bear!  I love you honey!

I thought I'd share a little piece of our night together.  It's not often we are alone and we are both fine with that.  But it was nice to have this little bit of time alone!    Baby girl is home with us now (fast asleep) but the boys are having a fun sleep over!

Linking up with Home and Family Friday's!  Come and join the fun! :)
Happy Sunday!
XOXO

Yay for you guys! I think when you don't have a date very often, you sure appreciate them when you do! Your story is so much like mine and Jim's, complete with the disapproval of my mom followed by her loving him. We were married 7 mos after we met and have been married for 10 years! That's too funny. P.S. LOVE those earrings!

Thanks for stopping by and your kind comments. Looks like you had a wonderful date night. So nice that you found love again, that's a wonderful testimony there. I really love that little bracelet in the photo too! Just catching up on your blog this morning. I wanted to also tell you I love your choice of cabinetry for the half bath. I like the beautiful cabinetry and extra storage space you will have. Very pretty!

Y'all are so cute together and you look great for a young 37. Oh the days of my thirties. sigh. We saw that movie, too last week. I loved it. My husband did not want to go because he thought it was a chick flick, but he owed me since I had to endure the Preditor movie with him and it was NOT good at all. He even liked Eat Pray Love. My husband and I dated five months when we became engaged and married one year after dating and have been married 35 years. You were just a baby.

Doesn't love just come when you are totally not expecting it?! I was totally not expecting much at all when I met my hubby, and he was just the ONE!

So glad you got a date night with your sweetie.

loved this post...

I wasn't married before, but I was engaged...broke it off and met my husband 4 months later when I DID NOT want to meet anyone.

that's usually the way it works, right?

We've been married 14 years this week, and I couldn't imagine life without him..or life with the other guy! :)

sorry I've been absent lately...haven't had much time in front of the computer...

Oh, and the camera thing...our NIKON shows every blemish and wrinkle on this 37 year old face, too! I laughed when I read that!!!

Thanks for popping in to say 'hi' :) What a lovely blog you have! I can't wait to go see EPL. Fell in love with the book when I read it a few years ago...mostly the Italy portion (oh, the pasta! the pizza!).
Love the pictures and the date story.

Sounds like you had a wonderful night out! I still haven't seen the movie...we are trying to go this weekend!

My husband and I met when were 17 and 19. We got engaged 5 months after meeting and were married a year later. We've been married 30 years...wow that makes me sound ancient;)! My daughter is dating a young man that has been married before...she is 21. I was dead set against it at first...she is so young...but after meeting him and seeing how he treats her I am 100% on board! He is the perfect man for her and I adore him! You never know what God has is in store for you but His plan is perfect;)!

I love this post!
