Best Mother's Day present ever! (almost!)

As I was naming this post, I do realize that my best Mother's day present ever was my CHILDREN!

But this current Mother's day ROCKS because our driveway is finished and I get so excited I could SCREAM when I am there!!!!

Many of you know (who read my blog or know me personally) that this has been a long time coming.  We have had the land FOREVER and when I say that, I literally grew up there.  My parents owned it and they live directly behind where we are moving.  The problem was, it never had water.  And when I say never had it, meaning no city water and 3 wells dug later, nada, nothing, ZILCH!    We gave up and forgot about it.  That was until about 6 1/2 yrs ago when water came down that road a bit, but stopped right before our land.  We thought it would take a year maybe two tops.  Well here we are almost 7 yrs later, but SO BLESSED AND HAPPY to be here!   Sometimes I have to pinch myself so I know it's really happening.     Anyway, you get the idea, I'm excited! :)

Here my kids are playing in the dirt piles and having a blast!  This is what it's all about!

Thank you for listening and I hope your Mother's day ROCKS too!!!!

Kristi, thanks for stopping by my blog! Yay, for the driveway! That's so exciting. We built our house 2 years ago, and we are just getting our grass planted now. It's such a work in progress. Good luck in your home building adventure!! Happy Mother's Day!!

Thanks for coming by my blog. I was just looking through yours and I take it you are building a new house on that land. How exciting. We built our house fifteen years ago and then have made a lot of changes and updates since. I will drop by again and hope you do the same.
